This paper introduces the characteristics and applications of short distance of visible light communi- cation and its key technology.It gives the short distance between visible light communication, analysis of the data link layer in the standard of IEEE802.15.7 (MAC) structure, the physical layer (PHY) structure and flick- er mitigation, dimming scheme .It points out the development direction of the key technology of the visible light communication.
