Syndrome is the basis of TCM（traditional Chinese medicine） understanding and diagnosing disease,herbal prescription and observing effect.Syndrome diagnosis and clinical evaluation of the objective and standardized research is crucial to modernization of Chinese medicine.Lipid genomics is an emerging discipline that systematically analyze overall lipid and then identify the key lipid biomarkers of metabolic regulation by comparing lipid metabolism changes in the network under different physiological states to finally reveal the mechanism of action of the lipids in a variety of life activities.The holistic view and system theory of Chinese medicine coincide with the systematical study of lipid group.With the advances of mass spectrometry technology,study of lipid genomics in research of TCM syndrome essence,identification of lipid biomarker of syndrome,syndrome diagnosis and study of mechanism of drug action has demonstrated the broad application prospects.
