在国家和省级层面水利现代化评价指标体系研究的基础上，根据广东省中山市自身特点以及水利建设需求，建立具有珠三角特色的中山市水利现代化评价指标体系，该体系包括6个方面、26项评价指标，采用层次分析的综合评价方法对中山市水利发展进行现状评价及预评估，得到中山市水利发展现状处于成长阶段后期，2015年进入成熟阶段前期，即初步实现水利现代化，2020年进入成长阶段中期，即基本实现水利现代化。
英文摘要：
This paper is based on a study of evaluation index system for water modernization at state level and province levei. According to Zhongshan City＇s hierarchical characteristics and needing for water conservancy, it builds the evaluation index system for water modernization in Zhongshan City, reflecting the features in Pearl River Delta. The system includes six spheres, twenty-six indica- tors. The comprehensive evaluation method of analytic hierarchy process （AHP） is used to evaluate the present and future situation of water development in Zhongshan City. The result reveals that the present situation of water development in Zhongshan City is at tlnLe late stage of development, and by 2015 it will get into the early stage of over-mature（initially realizing water modernization）, and by 2020 it will get into the medium stage of over-matur（basicallv realizing water modernization）
