By interpreting the photo and the comparison with the relevant paleographic materials, the inscription of a bronze ge-dagger ax unearthed from the tomb M10 of the Chu State at Chenpo in Xiangyang can be read as "Zhaowang Zhixin chooses the auspicious metal (to make) the ge-dagger ax used on the cui (chariot attending the main battle chariot)". This ge-dagger ax was cast by Zhaowang Zhixin for himself to use in the chariot army. It is estimated that the M10 was buried at the end of the reign of King Huai of the Chu State, which was around 300 BC. This ge-dagger ax would be cast before the interment, perhaps in the mid to the late Warring- States Period. The occupant of MlO might be Zhaowang Zhixin. the owner of this ge-dagger ax.
