The eigenenergy and eigenfunction of the ground state of the polaron in cylindrical quantum dot (CQD) can be obtained by precisely solving the Schrodinger equation. Numerical calculations indicate that the mean number of phonon in cylindrical quantum dot increases as the electron-LO-phonon coupling strength increases, and it decreases as the radius or height of the cylindrical quantum dot increases.
