This article studies the carbon emissions and intensity of 18 cities in Henan province from 2005 to 2013 and analyzes the differences in space and temporal variation and regions. The results showed that carbon emissions of 18 cities were in the overall upward trend from 2005 to 2010 and reached a higher value in 2010, but in 2011, a sharp decrease came then following by a continuous increase;carbon emission intensity can also be divided into two stages based on the year of 2010. From 2005 to 2010, carbon emission intensity of 18 cities in Henan province was decreased year by year with minor change,but it suddenly dropped to a lower value in 2011 and kept decreasing in the following year;among the 18 cities, the absolute and relative difference of carbon emissions is bigger. The regional absolute difference of carbon emission intensity is increasing while the regional relative difference is decreasing.
