The cytoplasmic male sterile (CMS) line of Brassica napus pol. is of great research utility among the rapeseed sterile lines. Researches of its molecular mechanism has substantiated that ATP6, subunit of the ATP synthase, is related with CMS. By using of yeast two hybrid system, ATP6 was chosen as bait protein to screen its interacting partners. A fragment has high identity with the cDNA sequence of tAPX and its coded protein, tAPX is a sort of APX enzymes that scaveng reactive oxygen species (ROS). The research might suggest its possible role in CMS and flower development.
