A novel flame retardant,methacryloyl oxyethyl-N-dimethyl phosphoric amide（1）,was synthesized from phosphorusoxychloride,ethanol amine and methacryloyl chloride using absolute ether and dichloromethane as the solvent,triethylamine as the deacid reagent.The structure was characterized by 1H NMR,13C NMR,31P NMR and IR.1 was grafted to silk fabric to obtained 1-s via traditional grafting method.Limiting oxygen index and char length tests results showed that 1-s exhibited good flammability.
