研究了稀土元素(RE)处理炭纤维表面的最佳添加量和不同炭纤维表面处理对聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)复合材料在干摩擦条件下摩擦磨损性能的影响,并利用扫描电子显微镜对其磨损表面进行观察和分析.结果表明:当稀土元素在表面改性剂中的含量为0.3%时,炭纤维填充聚四氟乙烯复合材料的摩擦磨损性能最佳;在干摩擦条件下。表面处理炭纤维填充聚四氟乙烯复合材料的摩擦系数比未经处理炭纤维填充聚四氟乙烯复合材料的低,且其耐磨性较好;稀土处理使得复合材料的界面强韧性得到明显改善,从而提高了其摩擦磨损性能.
Optimum amount of rare earths (RE) for treating carbon fiber surface and effects of different surface treatments of carbon fiber on tribological behavior of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composites under dry friction condition were investigated. Worn surfaces were observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Experimental results showed that the best tribological behavior of the CF/PTFE composites was obtained when the content of rare earth elements was 0.3wt%. Under dry friction condition, PTFE composites filled with surface treated carbon fibers exhibited better tribological performance than those of the PTFE composite filled with untreated carbon fibers did. Rare earth elements acting as surface modifier of the carbon fibers can increase interfacial adhesion and toughness between carbon fibers and PTFE matrix, and it improved tribological performance of the composites.
