Video traffic detection has been the mainstream technology in traffic information collecting area.Upon the background of applying detection and recognition of moving vehicles in intelligent video-based road traffic information collection system,some hard issues in detecting moving objects is analysed,such as updating background image and eliminating noise,etc.,and a stable algorithm of moving vehicles detection is proposed on above basis.As the universal measures in video monitoring area,the moving vehicle detection method presented in this paper has the theoretical meaning and practical value to a certain extent.
