It is clear that modern apprenticeship has become an important strategy to cultivate tal- ents. Surely, apprenticeship is inseparable from the development of deep cooperation between schools and enterprises. However, the current school--enterprise cooperation has been a bottleneck in the development of China＇s vocational education. It is apparent that western countries learn from the experiences of modern apprenticeship, and such experiences could promote our school--enterprise cooperation. As the modern apprenticeship goes deeper and deeper, it is essential for government to create an environment to advocate the modern apprenticeship. On the other hand, it is necessary to set up some institutions to enhance service awareness, change the rationale of universities and encourage industry organizations to actively participate.
