目前，国外LoetLeydesdorff等学者通过期刊之间的关系进行期刊分类，考察学科结构，探讨学科结构问题，并能通过计算机可视化技术用图谱的方式直观、形象地展示出来。与世界相比，我国期刊的定量研究比较晚，成果较少，主要是在学习、参考和借鉴国外现有理论、方法和技术的基础上，从期刊的引用关系和期刊在研究内容的联系上考察期刊之间的关系，探索期刊所代表的学科结构。本文通过对国内外学术期刊的定量研究现状的对比描述，对期刊定量研究的起源、发展历程以及国内外最新研究动态进行了考察和研究。
英文摘要：
It is a new academic area of depending on journals to explore the structure of science through the journal citation relationship. Loet Leydesdorff and other scholars through the relationship of journals, examined the structure of discipline, and formed visual maps through computer visualization technology. Compared with the world, China＇s journal quantitative research mainly study, reference and learn from foreign existing theories, methods and techniques based on the references from journals, and examine the relationship from the content of the journals, to explore the structure represented by journals.This paper investigates the origin and development process of journal quantitative research, and the latest research advances in abroad and in China.
