Layered perovskite-type organic-inorganic hybrid is a new material which is assembled with organic and inorganic components in molecular scale. The material has good application potentials because of its designable structure and controllable energy band structure. This paper focuses on the research and development in structures and properties of the layered perovskite-type organic-inorganic hybrids, including the laws of structure formation, energy band and property dependence on the organic and inorganic components and their structures.
