With the constant expansion of tourism industry, the number of tourists and tourism activities are also expanding. The environment of the scenic areas is increasingly influenced by solid wastes generated by tourism activities, which brings more and more attention and academic researches on the environmental impact of tourism waste. 6 trails were chosen in Mount Jiuhua scenic area, and 21 transect belts were set up. In each transect belt, four lm x lm continuous sampling quadrats with different distances away from the trail was surveyed for the types and quantities of solid waste with the methods of Pearson Correlation analysis and Mathematical Statistics of spssl3. It analyzed the solid waste types, spatial distribution and the correlation between the number of the visitors and the impact of solid waste in Mount Jiuhau scenic area. 38 types and 440 pieces of solid waste were found in 73.8% quadrats. The type and quantity of solid wastes and the number of tourists were not significantly correlated. Based on the research, the paper proposes to educate visitors, increase more facilities and improve the management to guarantee the quality of the scenic environment. The main recommendations include: First, tourists should be guided and educated through media campaigns, logos and other channels to reduce the number of discarded solid waste. Second, waste collection facilities should be set for each 100 meters along the main mountain trails, and facilities will be required to achieve harmony with the environment, and easy to identify. Third, waste management system of every-day cleaning, collecting and transporting down to the mountain must be established. Fourth, the professionalism of the sanitation workers should be improved to make them have a clear division of responsibilities and the consciousness of timely collecting the solid waste. Fifth, solid waste assessment system should be set up for the construction companies in the Scenic Area, which requires each company is responsible for its own solid waste. Sixth,
