Flavonoids carboxylic acid compounds are one kind of flavonoid compounds which have a wide range of biological activity and high pharmacological activities. This paper summarized the advances in chemical structure and structure - activity of the flavonoids carboxylic acid compounds and methods of synthesis in recent years. The progressing prospect of rare earth complexes of flavonoids carboxylic acid was predicted. This paper provided theoretical support for the deeper research of flavonoids carboxylic acid compounds and their rare earth complexes in the future.
