Stress is the main limiting/actor affecting the normal growth and development of plants. And the stress resist- ance is a variety of physiological and biochemical reactions of plants to their own. Based on the brief description of the physiological response to drought and salt stress in the Lycium ruthenicum. Some achievements and shortcomings of the research on stress resistance of Lycium ruthenicum were analyzed, and combined with the environmental science problems existing in the arid area, suggestions are put forward for future research directions and application prospects.
