在中国古典时代，《诗经》最重要的价值乃在于，从个人品性及社会良俗层面发挥其政治教化作用。现代社会依然需要从《诗经》等经典中汲取营养，发挥正面教化作用。《葛覃》为《周南》之第二首，仅次于《关雎》，《毛诗序》解其主旨为“后妃之本”，体现了本诗在妇德之范方面的教化意义。从古典学角度阐说《葛覃》，需要充分注意其背后的礼制背景及经学逻辑。
英文摘要：
In the classical era of China, the most important value of the Book of Songs lay in the per- sonal character and the role of political education at the level of social custom and moral. Modem society still needs to get nutrition from classics as The Book of Songs, and play a positive educational role of them. ＂Ge Tan＂ is the second piece of ＂Zhou Nan＂ , second only to ＂ Guan Ju＂. The preface of Mao Poem explains its main theme as ＂the basic behavior conducted, by empress＂ ,which embodies the sig- nificance of this poem in the aspect of women＇s morality. It needs to pay full attention to the background behind the set of etiquette and the logic of Confucian classics studies from the perspective of classics to interpret ＂Ge Tan＂.
