长非编码RNAs(long noncoding RNAs,lncRNAs)是一类长度超过200 nt的功能性RNA分子。随着测序技术的发展,越来越多的lncRNAs在哺乳动物中被发现。近年来对部分lncRNAs的功能研究显示,lncRNAs通过多种机制调节蛋白编码基因的表达水平,其中,lncRNAs对蛋白编码基因的表观遗传调节作用尤为重要,如lncRNAs可以调控靶基因的DNA甲基化和组蛋白修饰,同时,lncRNAs自身又受到表观遗传修饰的影响。文章就lncRNAs在表观遗传上的作用做一综述。
Long noncoding RNA (IncRNA) is a kind of functional noncoding RNAs with length longer than 200 nt. As the development of sequencing technology, more and more IncRNAs have been found in mammal. According to the recent researches about the functions of IncRNAs, we know that IncRNAs should regulate the expression of protein coding genes through multiple mechanisms, among which epigenetics is one of the most important mechanisms. LncRNAs can regulate the DNA methylation and histone modification of target genes, and in contrast, IncRNAs might be regulated by epigenetic modifications. In the paper, the authors focus on the epigenetic functions of IncRNAs.
