The paper analyzes the present iron ore resource conditions;reviews the current typical separation processes including process of gravity separation-low intensity magnetic separation-high intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation,total low intensity magnetic separation process,low intensity magnetic separation-flotation combined process,and roasting-low intensity magnetic separation-high intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation;summarizes the highly effective separation equipment including high intensity magnetic separator,magnetic separation column,CSX magnetic-field screener,high frequency vibrating fine screen and cyclonic-static micro bubble flotation column;reviews the progress in iron separation technology;and looks forward to the development trend of iron separation.
