Qian Sanqiang has made unique contribution to the popularization of science in China. He played a very important role in the development of science popularization in China around 1980s . He made people know what science popularization is at the beginning of the reform. His thoughts and practice have succeeded in combining science popularization with the research of science and helped people＆positively＆understand＆the＆science＆better＆and＆promote＆science＆popularization.＆Qian＆Sanqiang also published works on the popularization of science and took part in the popularization practice himself. He recommended good works to readers and did thorough study of science popularization. All that he has done is a microcosm of the dedication of Chinese scientists to the science popularization in the reform and opening-up.
