SATB-1 is a special AT-rich sequence binding protein. It is the global chromatin organizer to regulate chromatin structure and gene expression. Studies indicate that SATB-1 is over expressed in metastatic prostate cancer cell and promotes prostate cancer cell growth and invasion. Clinical experiment reveal that SATB-1 is a promising biomarker and therapeutic target for prostate cancer.
