Since the promulgation of Unfair Competition Prevention Act in Japan, the protection of trade secrets in Japan has been continuously strengthened. In response to the industry＇s call for greater protection of trade secrets, the new Japanese Unfair Competition Prevention Act in 2015 details the civil procedure against the infringement of trade secrets and provides for more severe criminal penalties, including expanding the scope of criminal punishment object, increasing the intensity of criminal penalties, simplifying criminal proceedings, perfect the civil remedy procedures. At the same time, Japan revised the ＂Enterprise Secret Management Guide＂ to relax the qualification requirements of trade secrets. In addition, the Supreme Court clarified the criteria for recognizing and executing a foreign judgment to achieve the protection of foreign trade secrets in one case.
