Chemical reactions play an important role in sonoluminescence. The present work compares two approaches dealing with the chemical reactions, i.e., kinetic approach using reaction rate and equilibrions approach using equilibrium constant. Their advantages and disadvantages are discussed respectively. Calculations indicate that the results obtained by the two approaches are similar and it is suggestible that the two approaches both can be employed in the calculation of sonoluminescence.
