利用1982年1月-2001年12月青藏高原植被归一化指数(NDVI)和NCEP/NCAR再分析月平均资料,应用相关分析、奇异值分解(SVD)和经验正交分解(EOF)的方法,分析了青藏高原冬季的NDVI变化与南亚夏季风的关系。通过分析表明,高原植被与南亚地区850hPa纬向风场和纬向风垂直切变(U850hPa—U200hPa)有比较好的正相关关系。用纬向风垂直切变EOF分析的第一特征向量对应的时间系数定义一个南亚夏季风指数(EOF1),该系数与高原冬季NDVI相关较好,而且能较好地反映南亚夏季风的变化。
The relationship between the NDVI variation in winter over the Tibetan Plateau (T-P) and the South Asian summer monsoon is investigated with the correlation analysis, empirical orthogonal function (EOF) and singular value decomposition (SVD) method by using the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and the NCEP/ NCAR reanalyzed datasets between 1982 and 2001. The result shows that the correlation between the NDVI in winter over T-P and zonal winds at 850hPa and westerly shear (U850hPa - U200hPa) is strongly positive. A South Asian summer monsoon index (EOF1) is defined by using the first time series of EOF analysis of the zonal wind shear. This index not only has a strong correlation with the NDVI in winter, but also can reflect the variation of South Asian summer monsoon.
