采用第一原理研究了Sn对O在ZnO(0001)极性面吸附的影响.计算表明,ZnO(0001)极性面上单层Sn覆盖层能提高O原子在此面上的吸附能.清洁ZnO(0001)表面上的Sn吸附层使得O吸附层更加活跃,总能计算可以看出O扩散构型比处于顶端的构型更加稳定,这很可能就是Sn充当ZnO纳米结构生长的催化剂的关键所在.与ZnO纳米结构生长过程中Sn球总是在生长出的纳米结构末端这一现象吻合很好.
The effect of Sn on O atom adsorbing on ZnO(0001) polar surface is investigated by using the first-principle.It s found that one monolayer(ML) of Sn capping layer on the ZnO(0001) may enhance the binding energy for O adsorption on the surface.The O adlayer seems more active because of the Sn adlayer on the clean ZnO(0001) surface,and total energy calculations show that O diffused geometry is energetically favorable than O on-top geometry,which may be at the very heart of the effect that Sn acts as catalyst ...
