由于问题本身复杂、数据收集困难和理论方法相对缺乏等原因,对于涉及公共安全中集群行为的实证研究国内外还不多见。本文在介绍公共安全、社会计算的概念和主要研究进展的基础上,综述了社会计算在公共安全集群行为研究中的进展,并进一步探讨了社会计算在集群行为研究中的可能空间。本文强调社会计算将传统社会学与计算机科学以及复杂性科学(特别是复杂网络)的相关方法融合起来,是解决公共安全问题,尤其是对群体性事件中集群行为的分析、控制和管理的可能途径。
The empirical research on collective behaviors in the area of public safety is rare because of the complexity of the problem, data collection difficulties, and scarcity of reliable theories and methodology. By describing the definitions of public safety and social computing as well as the related research progress, this paper reviews the progress of social computing in the collective be- haviors of public safety and discusses the possible contributions of studying collective behaviors by way of social computing. Social computing, an interdisciplinary approach by integrating methods of Computer Science, traditional Sociology and Complexity Science (especially the methods of complex networks) together, is a possible effective way to solve the problem of public safety, especially for the analysis, control, and management of the collective behaviors.
