We have derived the luminosity functions （LFs） of 312 member galaxies of one Abell radius in the central region of the nearby rich cluster of galaxies A2199 in the B, V and R bands. The Schechter function, Gaussian function and the combinations are used in our analyses. We compare our LFs with those for member galaxies in other clusters and that for field galaxies. Our LF is found to be inconsistent with previous studies of the cluster luminosity function, and not significantly different from the LF of field galaxies.
