冰碛土是由冰蚀作用产生的碎屑物质和冰川产生以前就已存在的岩屑、碎石等松散堆积物,被冰川搬运并在冰川融化时沉积下来而形成的碎石类土,具有独特的侵蚀、搬运与沉积特征。由于冰碛土块石、碎石、角砾、砂土混杂,呈无胶结或泥质半胶结状态,水稳定性差、遇水易软化崩解,常常成为工程处治的难题。准确把握冰碛土强度特性是解决问题的关键,但必须以大试样尺寸、且不失冰碛土本身结构为前提。基于此,进行了原状冰碛土和相同干密度、不同含水率下的重塑冰碛土大型直剪试验,结果表明,原状冰碛土具有一定的结构性强度,重塑冰碛土强度将随着含水率的增加而降低。
Moraine Soils is one of the gravel soils that sedimented by glacial transporting and melting which including debris and other loose deposits before glacial period. So moraine soils have particular characteristics of erosion, transportation and sedimentaion. Because the moraine soils always include clods, macadams, gravels and sands, maintaining minus-cementation or argillaceous half-cementaion state, poor water-stability and easy disintegration. Moraine soils have been generally regarded as a problem on engineering treatment. Important step must be taken to solve the problem to obtain the strength behavior conclusively. But this step must be based on large scale with the structure of the moraine soils. Considering this, undisturbed samples and same dry density, different moistures remoulded samples are taken to large scale direct shear tests. The result shows that the undisturbed moraine soils have some structural strength, and the strength of the remoulded moraine soils falls along with the moisture increases.
