The whisper is a kind of speech, which refers to the slight vibration or the no vibration of the vocal cords, and can avoid being overheard. In this paper, a series of comparative studies are carried out on the whispered speech and the normal speech. After analyzing the formation and basic features of the whispered speech, a series of studies about formant frequency and formant bandwidth compared with normal speech has been carried out in this paper.
