本文介绍了扫瞄隧道显微术及扫描隧道谱(STM/STS)半导体、金属量子点及单分子电子态和电子输运性质研究的最新进展。STM具有高的空间和能量分辨率,不仅可用于表面和纳米体系的结构表征,而且可用于研究表面和纳米结构局域电子态和电子输运性质。半导体、金属量子点及单分子通常具有分立的电子能级结构。利用STM的探针空间局域的探测能力和较高的能量分辨本领,近年来有大量工作对这些低维体系的电子态进行了研究,对这些体系单体结构的电子输运性质研究获得了有趣的新结果。
This review presented the recent progress in the study of the electronic properties and electron transport of semiconductor and metal quantum dots, and single molecules with the scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS) . With high spatial and energy resolution, the STM is not only an important tool in characterization of surface structures, but also a powerful tool in investigation of local electronic states and electron transport of nanostructures. In nanostructures, such as semiconductor and metal quantum dots, and single molecules, their electronic structures generally appear to be discrete. With the local probing ability and high energy resolution, a lot of studies have been done on the electronic properties and electron transport of these individual nanostructures. Some interesting phenomena have been observed.
