The over-whelming majority of the adjectives, adverbs and onomatopoeias constituted by ＂Xran＂ can be attached of ＂jian＂ in modern Chinese, but the frequency and universality are far different among them. The phrase-words of ＂Xvanjian＂ can not only be used to stress instantaneous through emphasizing the time of the moment, but also be used to stress continuity by emphasizing the time of period. Nowadays the effects of expressing instantaneous about some ＂jian＂ are more and more weak and are becoming some redundancy quasi-suffixes, while the functions of expressing continuity are stronger and stronger and are becoming some non-typical aspect markers. While a large amount of ＂Xranjian＂ are still phrases or phrase-words, others are developing lexical words with redundancy quasi-suffix.
