Layered titanium-based oxides are typical cationic layered materials, which have two structuril forms such as perovskite and lepidocrocite. Layered titanium-based oxides have many excellent properties, such as ion-exchangeing, pillaring and exfoliation-assembly, which can be used to build novel materials to enlarge the application fields. The basic structures, the performances and the applications as catalysts and other functional materials for layered titanium-based oxides are discussed.
