The effects of wintering Black-headed gull to tourist number at Green Lake Park and Caohai Dam of Lake Danchi were analyzed, based on the field data collected at the given time and sites during 10 mouths, from Nov. 2007 to Aug. 2008, in Kunming. The results indicated that the tourist number at the studied two sites during the 5 mouths with the wintering Black-headed gull was 2. 8 - 2. 9 times of that during the 5mouths without the birds, with the high significant difference （ P 〈 0. 01 ）, implying the high significant effect of Black-headed gull to tourist number in Kunming. It was also found the contribution of the birds to the income of the paid photographers and peddlers at the tourism sites.
