湖泊沉积物碳酸盐含量TCC的变化可反映环境或气候信息。TCC值的变化主要反映干旱和湿润的变化,而与气温变化对应关系不明显,TCC高值可能分别对应暖干、冷干和暖湿环境;这取决于气温和水分对TCC的综合影响程度。碳酸盐一般与细粒沉积物对应的关系可能只反映与搬运条件有关,而与水位高低无关;不同类型的碳酸盐矿物及其饱和指数可能影响TCC与干湿的对应关系;构造也可以影响TCC变化。对于一个钻孔岩芯不同层位而言,TCC的指示意义可能发生变化。
The change of total carbonate content, namely TCC, of lake sediments, reflects environmental and/or climatic information, mainly the change of aridity and wetness. High value of TCC may reflect the condition of warm-arid, warm-wet or cold-arid climate respectively, lying on the combined effects of temperature and lake water on precipitation of carbonates. And the corresponding relation of TCC and dry/wet condition is also affected by the kind of carbonate minerals and the saturation index of different carbonates, or affected by tectonism. TCC of different layers in the same core may have dissimilar environmental and/ or climatic meaning.
