Current adjustable blade application in military aero-engine was discussed and the further development trend was predicted. High load, high mach number, broad flow angle range, and low flow loss level will be pursued. Aerodynamic analysis was carried out on a flectional cascade. It indicates that flectional cascade is an excellent solution for turning angle control in compressors. But still more work is needed on advanced adjustable cascade with higher turning angle and higher mach number.
