In this paper, the basic principle and new progress of nanofibers by electrospinning are introduced. The main factors influencing the configuration and structure of polymer nanofibers are discussed. In particular, the doping, blend and decoration of nanofibers are introduced. In addition, the fabricated methods of some nanofibers with novel structure are also introduced. The applications of the electrospun nanofibers in some fields are reviewed.
