超声空化效应是高强度聚焦超声(HIFU)治疗中的重要效应之一,有效诱导并且利用超声空化效应可以增加HIFU辐照后的组织凝固范围和提高HIFU疗效。微泡造影剂被确认为是提高HIFU疗效的一种重要增效剂,其作用就是作为超声空化效应的空化核,降低聚焦超声对组织的损伤阈值从而可以扩大组织的凝固范围。随着对HIFU增效作用的研究进展,HIFU技术必将更加高效、安全,成为临床治疗肿瘤的有力武器。
Ultrasonic cavitation is one of predominant mechanisms in high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment. Efficiently-induced ultrasonic cavitation can be used to increase the coagulated volume and enhance the therapeutic efficiency of HIFU. Recent studies have shown that mierobubble contrast agents are important factors in enhancing the therapeutic efficiency of HIFU. They have potential to act as cavitation nuclei and are likely to lower the tissue damage threshold and cause a greater coagulated volume. Along with the development of HIFU efficiency enhancement studies, HIFU will be more effective and powerful in clinical tumor treatment.
