Based on the framework of the perturbation theory of the quantum field, we have explored the mechanism and the amplitude of the electromagnetic decay of the axion in the search for the axion experiments. The result of the perturbation computing shows that the amplitude of the electromagnetic decay of the axion is related to the coupling constant of the axion-nucleon interactions or axion-quark interactions, which is closely related to the mechanism of this decay. The amplitude of this electromagnetic decay is also related to the masses of the nucleons or the quarks. This work provides a possible approach to the further research of the relationship between the two types coupling of axion in the search for the axion experiments.
