Multi-granulation is a research focus in rough sets in recent year,of which multi-granulation covering rough set research focused on the model of the extension. By analyzing the limitations of the optimistic multi-granulation covering rough set,the adjustable multi-granulation covering rough set is proposed. The properties of the adjustable multi-granulation covering rough sets are discussed. Furthermore,the heuristic algorithm of the granular significance is introduced. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the approach.
