生物网络中的聚类分析是功能模块识别及蛋白质功能预测的重要方法,聚类结果的可视化对于快速有效地分析生物网络结构也具有重要作用。通过分析生物网络显示和分析平台Cytoscape的架构,设计了一个使用方便的聚类分析和显示插件ClusterViz。这是一个可扩展的聚类算法的集成平台,可以不断增加其中的聚类算法,并对不同算法的结果进行比较分析,目前已实现了三种典型的算法实例。该插件能够成为蛋白质相互作用网络机理研究的一个有效工具。
Clustering of biological networks is one of the most important approaches for identifying functional modules and predicting protein functions while visualization of clustering results is also important to uncover the structure of biological networks. In this paper, by analyzing the software framework of Cytoscape, which is a biological visualization and analysis platform, a convenient ClusterViz -called plugin for clustering analysis and visualization has been developed. It is designed as a scalable integrating platform for various clustering algorithms that can be gradually added. And the results of different algorithms can be compared for further analysis as well. At present there have been three typical kinds of clustering algorithm instances implemented. This plugin can be of great help in the research of mechanism of the protein interaction network.
