The decision support system （DSS） of snowmelt flood prediction in Xinjiang based on “3S”is realized by the mode which integrates warehouses, method base, model base and knowledge base, and is put forward by the author as a new method. The information system is the administration of whole systematic affairs, while the DSS is the applying and processing parts. The two systems are mutual dependence and interrelationship, the information system is the source of DSS, and the results produced by DSS enter the information system and manage it. When the model, the method, the knowledge of DSS are run successfully, the data structured will enter the information system and become part of it.
