A kind of bio-additive extracted up from tropic plant is used to improve gasoline burning efficiency. The bio-additive was added into four kinds of commercially used gasoline with octane number of 93, which are super-clean gasoline, prime gasoline, prime gasoline with known components and ethanolgasoline. Through engine bench testing, fuel economy with and without the bio-additives were compared and analyzed. The results showed that when engine operating on the fuels with the bio-additive, engine fuel economy could be improved remarkably, the fuel economy with addition of bio-additives can effect is particularly obvious for ethanol-gasoline. Engine reach the same level as that of using prime gasoline.
