After the reform and opening-up, the issues of urban governance in China have become more prominent with the unprecedented rapid urbanization. In reality, the urban governance in China is facing many dilemmas, such as the lag of urban governance philosophy, the institutional constraints of urban governance, the lack of law-based governance capacity, the lack of public participation, the crude way of governance, and the lack of metropolitan collaborative mechanism. Therefore, In the process of urhan governance, it is needful to improve urban governance legislative system, to improve the law enforcement system of urban management, to compress city management level, to establish and improve the multidepartment coordination linkage mechanism, to promote the orderly participation of residents, to improve the urban governance level of refinement and informationization, and to improve the collaborative govenmnce mechanisms of urban agglomerations.
