Objective：To investigate the expression of Ubiquitin specific peptidase 22 （USP22） protein, mRNA and its localization in human gastric cancer cells. Methods： Immunoblot and real - time PCR analysis were used to detect exogenous USP22 expression from human gastric carcinoma cell lines. The endogenous localization of USP22 in SGC7901 cells was observed by using laser scanning confocal microscopy. Results： USP22 protein and mRNA expression were high in human gastric carcinoma cell lines. The human USP22 protein was mainly localized in the nucleus by immunofluorescent assay. Conclusion ： USP22 was highly expressed in human gastric carcinoma cell lines and localized mainly in the nucleus, which may be involved in the development of human gas- tric cancer.
