Real-time PCR analysis showed that soybean GmRAV gene was strongly induced by darkness.Transgenic tobaccos overexpressing soybean GmRAV gene exhibited etiolated phenotype in dark,inhibited cotyledon expansion and promoted hypocotyl elongation.GmRAV gene could be involved in skotomorphogenesis.
