Accompanied by the research upsurge of the field of complex networks, study of propagation phenomenon on complex networks becomes an important subject. Based on the brief introduction of the basic concept and the network model of complex network, the paper then analyzes the propagation model and epidemic threshold on different networks. Finally, the research progress of epidemic dynamics on different networks is shown. This paper reviews the research method and theoretical results of propagation model on complex networks with a special focus on the structure and evolution of innovations.
