With a hierarchical model, this paper makes an in-depth research on the information lifecycle management. Then it describes a three-level operation of information storage, information management, and information service, respectively. Thereafter, it brings forward some implementing methods for the information lifecycle management by a case study. Finally, the authors show the braod prospect for the future development of informaiton lifecycle management.
