An electronic lock with remote alarming system is designed. ATMEG16 MCU is used in this system as the core. Photoelectric switch detects the status of the key put into or not,while the shape of the key is detected by grating displacement sensor. The shape data of keys is compared with the preset data. If the system has been trespassing,GSM module will be used in the remote alarm. The results show that,comparing with traditional lock,this electronic lock is safer.
