Wu Jin is an important literary commenter in the mid-Ming Dynasty.He criticized the phenomenon of ＂copy terms＂ in the movement of ＂back to the ancients＂ and put forward the view of ＂follow one＇s conception＂ in debates with Li Mengyang and other writers,and all these are earlier,clearer than He Jingming.His lately experience from writing ancient prose to laying too much stress on his health and requesting ＂Dao＂ is fairly typical among ideological trend of the mid-Ming Dynasty.
