英文摘要：

This paper discussed the definition, characteristics and the strategic position of the main branches of forensic medicine, and put forward the rule of forensic medicine development for realizing the unity and harmony between originality and transformation. In order to promote the subject to a leading position, we need to facilitate the conversion of research patterns, and focus on the research of new methods, technologies, concepts and the translational research. Based on the summary of the current status and the overall arrangement of forensic medicine, the priority research areas during the 13 th Five-year plan period were proposed.
